When I received the interview invitation from Booth last Thursday, I wasn’t all that thrilled – even though my ego would’ve been bruised had I not received an invite (hey I’m only human). As I mentioned in a previous post, I was already set on accepting Columbia’s [...]
This really came out of the blue. I knew that I could be invited to interview at any time from 1/25 to 2/15, but since I hadn’t heard back before today, I didn’t think it was going to happen. But lo and behold, it does.
To be continued… (en route to NYC for Columbia Connect)
Last week, Columbia graciously accepted me into their MBA program and gave me a deadline to enroll by 2/27, which is after I’d receive an interview invite from Booth (2/15) IF I get one, but before I’d receive the final decision (3/21). Columbia’s enrollment deadline is also a little more than 2 weeks before [...]
While I have very positive reasons, there is this one…

I’ll simply advise any of my fellow pre-MBA bloggers out there – those who are easily [...]
Just got the email! I know I said I’d stop checking my inbox so often, but oh well.
I like numbers sooo… According to Bloomberg Businessweek’s most recent Yale class profile, the % of applicants (admitted and denied) who were interviewed was 28%, and the % of all applicants who were accepted was [...]
So I’m budgeted to work at least 55 hours a week for the next 3 months, which can really be more like 70-80 hrs/wk. I estimate though that I spend less than an hour a day actually working. I’ll literally read an email or have my head in a spreadsheet for 5 minutes and [...]
I received an e-mail late this afternoon from Columbia Business School inviting me to interview, and I can’t help but be really excited! I don’t want to get my hopes up, but I just wasn’t expecting to hear back so soon after only submitting my application on December 13. I’m also happy [...]
